Rams Edge Dragons at the DAC
In front of a packed DAC, the shootout between the Rams and the Dragons appropriatly started at high noon.
Bashir Mason led Drexel with 19 points but it was not enough in the end as B.A. Walker and the Virginia Commonwealth Rams topped the Dragons 75-68 at the DAC on Saturday.
Drexel went into the locker room with a 2-point lead after Randy Oveneke slammed home a Dominick Mejia miss as time expired in the first half.
The Rams came out firing in the second half and shot 46% from the field. Walker dropped 19 of his 24 points in the second half, 11 in the last four and a half minutes.
Drexel drops to 8-3 in the Colonial Athletic Conference; V.C.U remained undefeated a top the CAA. Drexel visits Northeastern University on Monday while V.C.U will travel to Richmond, VA to take on William and Mary.

Key Games on the Way for Dragons
The Drexel men's basketball team has faced a few heartbreaking losses this year but none bigger than their overtime loss to Colonial Athletic Conference foe, Hofstra. Drexel will be looking for vindication against the Pride on 2/8/07 but can't look past this weekend's game against Virginia Commonwealth.
Currently, the dragons are 3rd in the CAA behind Hofstra and Virginia Commonwealth.
Saturday, 1/27 holds a key match up against conference leader Virginia Commonwealth and with a victory the Dragons can pull closer to the conference lead.
In the CAA the top three teams, V.C. , Hofstra and Drexel, are seperated by 1 loss and Drexel could take over the conference's top spot with a stong push late in the season.
